How we take bamboo out.
Full stand removal
Every cane cut, chipped and hauled off, down to the ground.
Root and rhizome excavation
We dig out the rhizome mat with the machine, not just the canes on top.
Containment
A barrier along the property line to stop runners from crossing. [CONFIRM: root barrier offered]
Ongoing control
Return visits to cut and dig new shoots before they take hold. [CONFIRM: visit schedule]
Grade and restore
The ground leveled after excavation so you can seed or plant. [CONFIRM]
It travels underground.
Running bamboo sends rhizomes sideways under lawns, beds, fences and property lines. New canes come up well away from the stand.

Will it come back?
Some shoots usually come back from pieces of rhizome left in the soil. That is why we dig out the mat and plan return visits. [CONFIRM wording]
How deep do the roots go?
Running bamboo rhizomes mostly stay in the top foot or two of soil and spread sideways. We dig to where the mat ends. [CONFIRM]
The bamboo is coming from my neighbor's yard. Can you help?
Yes. We remove what is on your side and cut the runners at the line. A barrier along the line keeps it from crossing again. [CONFIRM: barrier offered]
Does my township have bamboo rules?
Some Pennsylvania townships have bamboo ordinances. Check with your township office. We can tell you what we know when we walk the job.
When is the best time to remove bamboo?
[CONFIRM: preferred season.] We can remove it any time the ground can be dug.
